What is DSL?
DSL uses broadband technologies to provide your data and voice needs over a single copper wire entering your home or business.

How much will FTC's BlastDSL cost?
FTC's DSL is $44.95 per month for business service and $34.95 for residential service in addition to your local service. FTC provides you with a DSL router and on-site installation. A one time connection fee may apply.

What speeds can I obtain with FTC's BlastDSL?
With DSL you can enjoy up to 1.5 megabits per second download speed and up to 512 kilobits per second of upload speed. That's 28 times faster than the highest attainable dial-up speeds with a 56K modem.

Can I talk on my phone while I am using FTC's BlastDSL?
Yes. You can enjoy high-speed Internet access and talk on the phone at the same time.

What do I need on my computer to use BlastDSL?
All you need is an ethernet port on your computer and an operating system that supports TCP/IP.

Will I still have the ability to access the Internet via a dial-up modem?
Yes. If you are away from home while traveling you still have access via regular dial-up to the Internet to read your mail or perform any other Internet tasks.

Do I need to purchase Router Insurance?
No. Your router insurance is included in your monthly charge for DSL.

Do I need to return anything to FTC if I discontinue my DSL service?
If you received an FTC Router, yes. You must return the entire Router Kit (router, ac adapter, CD and guide, telephone cable and ethernet cable) or you will be billed $125 for not returning the Router Kit.

If you provided your own router, no.

Can I have more than one computer at my home with BlastDSL?
Yes. FTC's BlastDSL utilizes a fully functioning Internet router and you can connect several computers via a simple network hub. Note: FTC only provides tech support for one computer at your residence.

Is BlastDSL available in my area?
Every service request will require a field investigation to determine service eligibility. Thank you for your patience as we strive to meet your broadband requirements.
