FTC Program Descriptions


Entertain with Jane:  Viewers join host Jane Sterling in her kitchen as she shares some of her favorite recipes while preparing delectable entrees, side dishes, salads, appetizers and deserts. Jane also gives tips on creating beautiful table settings with minimum budgets.  Remember “every day’s a party when you entertain with Jane”.  Catch the show weekdays at 12:00 and 1:00 and Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7:00 and 7:30 pm.  

Cooking on the Wild Side:  There is nothing chef Eddie Clowney won’t try when it comes to wildlife.  Hunters from all over will bring game to the Red Rooster for Eddie to add his special seasoning and cook to perfection.  Don’t be surprised when rattlesnake, bobcat, bear or beaver is on the menu.  As Eddie always says, try it you just might like it!  Watch “Cooking on the Wild Side” weekdays at 12:30 and 1:30 and on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:00 and 7:30 pm.

Church Services: Every Wednesday, Saturday and Twice on Sunday, you can tune in to watch and listen to five different local church services. Alice Drive Baptist Church Service can be seen on Wednesdays at 4:00 pm, Saturday at 3:00 pm and on Sunday at 11:00 am or 10:00 pm.  Bethesda Church of God service is on at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, 4:00 pm on Saturday and 8:00 am or 7:00 pm on Sunday.  Grace Baptist can be seen on Wednesday at 6:00 pm, Saturday at 5:00 pm and on Sunday at 9:00 am or 8:00 pm.  First Baptist Church of Kingstree Service is on at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, 6:00 pm on Saturday and at 10:00 am and 9:00 pm on Sunday.  Barrineau Pentecostal Church service is on at 9:00 pm on Wednesday, 7:00 pm on Saturday and at 7:00 am and 6:00 pm on Sunday. 

The Auction Block:  Bargain Hunters and novelists from all over, gather to bid on their items of choice.  Meet the auction owners, auctioneers, and treasure hunters as they try to get the best deals on antique furnishings, signs, toys, art and all sorts of collectables.  Tune in weekly to see who is shrewd enough to walk away with the goods.

The Beat:  If you like music, you will definitely not want to miss an episode of “The Beat”. There is something for everyone as “The Beat” features gospel, country, jazz, blues, pop, soul, big band, beach music and so much more.  Catch solo acts, duos, bands, choirs, quartets, and groups of every size and genre. So get ready to tap your toes or break out your best dance moves when you catch “The Beat” on FTC NOW.

Local Legends:  Our area is fortunate to have a number of local celebrities that have made an impact on our culture through literature, sports, politics, art, horticulture, photography and more.  You’ll hear their amazing stories and get a glimpse of their unique talents when you tune in weekly to watch “Local Legends”.

Business Showcase: Our cameras take you behind the scenes of many unique local businesses.  Find out how they got their start and the interesting facets that have led to the success of these local entrepreneurs.  From the quality products that they manufacture to the services that they supply, you will learn what makes these businesses soar.  

Local Flavor: Ever wonder where to go for the best local cuisine? The hosts of “Local Flavor” check out local restaurants to find out what is on the menu, as well as, the favorite specialty selections.  They interview the owners, chefs and staff to learn about the history of restaurant and what has made them the local’s choice.  You’ll their reactions as they sample the fare at these delicious establishments.  

Table Talk: Host Belinda Cobb travels to local towns and cities to visit local businesses in order to find out about current fashion trends, the hottest gift selections, decorating tips, specialty services and where to go to shop, dine, do business or be entertained in each area location.

FTC Highlights:  If you could not make it to an area event or even if you did and want to recapture the moments, FTC Now brings you all the action.  Enjoy local festivals, parades, exhibits, banquets, competitions and more.  “FTC Highlights” capture the sites and sounds of each event and brings them in to your living room so you never have to miss a minute of the action.

Back in Time: These episodes cover historical events and practices in our local viewing areas, and bring a unique perception on how they shaped the lives of people within our communities.  “Back in Time” aims to preserve the pride heritage of days gone by.  

Carolina Landmarks: Another look at history through the eyes of the people who lived it and the monuments and museums that memorializes the lives, businesses and relics that have had strong influences on our culture and the traditions that make our local towns what they are today. 

Fitness Focus:  Get set to get fit. The “Fitness Focus” provides a variety of low to high impact workouts that fit your style and skill level. Whether you enjoy Yoga, Zumba, Cross-Fit or Core Strengthening tune in to one or more of these 30-minute workouts morning or evening Monday through Saturday to shape up or lose weight.

Rods and Reels: Professional anglers and fishing enthusiasts provide tips on reeling in that prize catch while you enjoy the beauty of the great outdoors.  Listen for clues about the best places, equipment and best conditions to participant in the fun and awarding sport of fishing. 

Kids Corner:  Kids say the cutest things.  Watch as our host interviews local children about their favorite books, sibling rivalries, what they like to do, and what they would like to be some day.  This show is bound to bring a smile to your face and add a bit of laughter to your day.  

Sports Specials: From high school football games to skeet shooting to Go Cart Track Racing, the action can be seen on FTC Now.  Each and every Tuesday and Thursday nights during the fall, viewers can watch the high school football game of the week.  Coach’s Kick Off shows features host Chip Chase as he talks with area coaches about the upcoming football season.  The Touchdown Club recognizes the outstanding players of the week. Recruiting Specials feature interviews with area athletes to find out where they will be going to compete on the college level.
