Aunt Frances’ Mexican Meat And Gravy

Directions:

Slice steak into small strips.  Chop onion.   Place steak and onion into a large skillet heated with oil.  Add flour and stir well.  When browned add water and bring to a slow boil.  Turn down to simmer and add Kitchen Bouquet. Simmer until steak is tender and gravy is thick (about 45 min). Serve over mashed potatoes, rice or flour tortillas.

  • 1 lb round steak
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 3-4 cups of water
  • 3 tablespoons Kitchen Bouquet
