Chicken Cordon Bleu



  • Pound 6 chicken breast
  • Add salt and pepper to top and bottom
  • Take slices of deli ham and trim all visible fat
  • Place a slice of trimmed ham and a slice of provolone cheese and layer on top of chicken breast
  • Roll up chicken with ham and cheese and hold together with a toothpick
  • Stir up egg and brush egg around rolled up breast coat with breadcrumbs
  • Bake in oven for 30 – 45 minutes at 350 degrees


Sauce for chicken

  • Melt 3 Tbs of butter in skillet
  • Add 1/2 can chicken broth, 1/2 cup dry white wine, 1 Tbs parsley flakes, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp salt, 1tsp pepper
  • Bring to a boil
  • Combine 1/4 cup of water with 1 1/2 tsp corn starch, stir and add to mixture
  • Add a carton of heavy cream
  • Bring back to a boil
  • Serve atop Chicken Cordon Bleu after it is baked and plated
