Gourmet Tacos


For Beef Tacos

l extra large onion or 2 medium onions

3 lb Chuck Roast

Jalepano Peppers (remove seeds)

Cup of Coffee

1 Can Beef Broth

3 Cans Rotel Tomatos and Chilis

1 tsp Cumin

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp pepper

4 Cloves of Garlic


Fish Tacos

10 oz Box Beer Batter Mix

3/4 of 1 Beer

Fish (Cod, Perch or Tilapia works well)

2.5 inches of oil

Sauce for Fish Tacos

1 Cup Mayonaise

1 Cup Plain Yogurt

1 tsp Cumin

1/2 tsp Pepper

1 tsp Salt

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Chili Powder

1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper

1 tsp Dill Weed

2 tsp Capers with Juice

Juice from 1 lime


Pico de Gallo (topping for tacos)

1 Red Onion chopped fine

2 Tomatos chopped fine

Cilantro chopped

Juice from 1 lime

1 Habanero Pepper chopped fine

1 tsp Salt

1/2 tsp Pepper



For Beef Tacos, layer 1/2 of onion on bottom of crock pot, add roast, coffee, add rest of ingredients and cook on low for 6-8 hours

For Fish Tacos, Mix Batter and Beer together and roll fish in batter mix, drop into heated oil and fry

Mix ingredients for Fish Taco Sauce and blend well.

Stir Pico de Gallo until blended well and refrigerate for 4 hours

Stuff Taco Shells with Fish and add Sauce and Pico de Gallo

Stuff Taco Shells with Beef and add Pico de Gallo
